Savigny-lès-Beaune, Les Peuillets is 16.17-hectare Premier Cru climat in the wine commune Savigny-lès-Beaune, situated in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. The vineyard is located in the Pernand sector of Savigny, north of the Rhoin River on the hillside descending from Bois Noël. Specifically, the vineyard abuts the southeaster border of Les Narbantons and extends southerly toward the A6 Autoroute. Facing east, southeast from an elevation of 240-250 meters, the rocky clay soil becomes increasingly sandy toward the west.
The name of the vineyard, “Peuillets”, suggests the predominance there at one time of “young trees”.
Exemplary Les Peuillets is made by Domaine Jean-Marc et Hugues Pavelot.
