We’ll accept both the compliment and the criticism, thank you, especially coming from a source that we admire and respect! We do plan, increasingly, to include more of our own photos as they become available. But please note that, in the meanwhile, only images already in the public domain are being used. So we’re not intentionally ripping off anything, just employing (only when necessary) a few stock photos.
Pleased to hear it.
But your statement ‘only images in public domain’ is less pleasing.
Please note that all my pages have a copyright notice in the footer, and more detail can be found on the site info page linked also in every footer. I guess footers are easy things to miss 😉
You’ll need to register and request permission to use, and also credit the BIVB and the photographer, but it’s a big library and many of the images are excellent.
By the way, the note about Caesar’s military camp in 52 BC – where did you find this? I have it in my notes from a document I wrote some time ago, but can’t find my source again. Was it the old Forgeot book?
Heya i’m for the primary time here. I came across this board and I find
It really helpful & it helped me out much. I’m hoping to present something back and help others like you helped me.
How is Romanee Conti vineyard trained? Double guyot? If not, how?
Sorry, just belatedly saw your question. Actually, the vineyard includes vines trained in Guyot and others in Cordon de Royat.
Site is one year old already – really excellent profiles too. Shame you rip-off so many photos without a ‘by-your-leave’ though…
Maybe a change in year 2?

How can I contact Jockovino about photos on this website?
While you’re building your own photo library, you may wish to use some of the images from the BIVB site under the ‘press’ section:
